Final web page header winner announcement 2023

Congratulations, Dan!

We are SO APPRECIATIVE of all of those who nominated themselves or friends and family members for this contest.

Lisa and 2023 winner Daniel Emerson
Dr. Lisa Alber & Daniel Emerson, 2023 essay contest winner

We had a great turnout of 25 essays. To keep the contest fair, we removed names from the essays and asked a team of folks unaffiliated with Alber Hearing Services to review them. The reviewers all said it was an incredibly difficult decision selecting a winner, given so many qualified and deserving nominees.

Dan was nominated by his wife, Theresa. In her essay, she said: “Dan has spent most of his adult life and career helping others in a very stressful and dangerous capacity. Dan is a courageous man who gives so much to others and tends to not do so much for himself […] His biggest worry about his hearing loss is that he may not hear something important while caring for his patients.”

When Dan was recently fit with his first pair of hearing aids, and had this to say:

“Dr. Alber and her staff are such great people!! My experience was very pleasant and easy. Thank you!!”

We are proud to continue this tradition of helping those in our community hear their very best.
